Filing Requirements for

Patents

A Swiss, European and/ or International patent application can be made if we are supplied with:

  1. A copy of the specification and claims, in German, English, French or Italian language (and drawings if any), typed or printed with reasonable clarity. The specification including the claims and the drawings can be established by us on the basis of sketches or memos or after a presentation of the invention in a meeting.

  2. The full name, address and nationality of the inventor(s)

  3. The name, address and nationality of the applicant; or if the applicant is a company its official designation and the legal address of the company headquarter

  4. If the priority of an earlier application is to be claimed the application or publication number, the date on which and the country in or for which the earlier application was filed is required as well as a certified copy of the priority application

  5. Power of Attorney simply signed by the applicant or the representative of the applicant company (no notarisation or legalisation is required)
